The Electrocoagulation (or Electroflotation) process is effective in treating various types of complex wastewaters without the need for chemicals.
Electrocoagulation wastewater treament is the process of removing dispersed particles from the process water or effluent by electrochemically coagulating and separating the pollutants. The system is simple, fully automated and requires minimal operator input.
Compared to chemical treatment, electrocoagulation generates significantly less sludge. This results in lower sludge and disposal costs, as well as eliminating chemical purchasing and handling costs.
This process is used across a wide range of industries and applications where conventional treatment methods can be expensive and ineffective. The complete system is compact and achieves high removal efficiencies of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), heavy metals, colour, ink and solids.
